Frequently asked questions.

Q: Is this legal for teachers?
A: Yes. You operate as an independent contractor, not a school employee, and you lead travel during off-contract months.

Q: Do I need travel industry experience?
A: No. The course teaches you everything from the ground up.

Q: Do I have to quit teaching?
A: Absolutely not. Most Teacher Agents keep teaching full-time. However, if you want, this could easily grow into a full-time career replacing your teaching job.

Q: Is this an MLM?
A: No. You earn commissions from travel bookings, not from recruiting.

Q: Do I have to book personal or family travel?
A: No. You choose what you sell: student trips, family travel, custom itineraries, or all of the above.

Q: How much can a teacher earn?
A: A typical student trip has 30 travelers at $4,000–$5,500 each. Commission on a single trip can be thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars. Our preferred travel partners pay anywhere from 10-18% in commissions.

Q: What is the time commitment?
A: It’s flexible — most Teacher Agents work a few hours a week. No more than what you are already doing for educational trips abroad.

Q. Who pays me my commission and when will I receive it?

As an independent contractor with Teacher Show Me the World, your commission is paid within 30 days after your group has completed travel. Here’s the process:

  1. Travel suppliers (tour operators, hotels, cruise lines, etc.) release commission payments after the trip has concluded.

  2. Those commissions are paid to our host agency.

  3. The host agency then releases the commission to Teacher Show Me the World.

  4. Once received, we process your payment and send your full commission payout within one month after travel.

This ensures you receive your commissions in a timely, predictable manner — and because of our strong host agency partnership, you benefit from top-tier industry commission rates.
